Graphic card issues can be a bit more difficult to troubleshoot. If you’re playing a game or watching a movie and suddenly start seeing tearing or weird colors appearing all over the screen, your graphics card might be dying. The first thing you want to do is check your drivers. Go into your device manager in Windows, and see if your graphics card or drivers are out of date. If so, it’s probably time to update them. The fault is a major failure of the AMD or ATI graphics chip. It has been found that there are issues with the GPU’s manufactured by TSMC and AMD. The displays manufactured in 2016 have a manufacturing fault that causes the GPU’s to overheat, modulate and then fail. This is not something that happens right away but takes time to develop. In addition to the symptoms listed above there can be a whole range of others but those are the main symptoms.

Screen glitches or black screen as you switch on are not always easy to diagnose, as they can be caused by several different factors, some of which are more serious than others. In this article, we’ve tried to cover all the important ones. But first, let’s take a look at what screen tearing is and what causes it.  Some of it looks like :The MacBook display takes on a rosy hue, sometimes getting worse with time. MacBook freezes, and you need to do a hard reset. The MacBook won’t start up. Device boots, but the Apple logo is distorted or broken. It has vertical lines on the screen that make it difficult to do anything. The laptop only has a black screen.  TheMacBook only has a black screen. Sometimes MacBook displays a grey screen with lines, Lines can be green, red, blue, a single line or multiple lines or vertical lines.

If you ever had a graphics card problem in your Mac device, you may have also have noticed that the symptom is visual artifacts. For instance, if you are playing a game, your screen might freeze and show a repeating pattern of lines that makes it impossible to continue. This can be especially frustrating if you have no idea what’s causing it. But don’t worry! It’s not your computer or monitor. It’s most likely your graphics card.
If the fan on the MacBook malfunctions, it could indicate that the device internally is getting too hot. If it’s getting too hot, you’ll want to stop what you’re doing and try and clean it out as best as possible. If you can’t get the fan to quiet down, it’s possible that something is internally wrong. A Mac device that overheats will certainly become damaged in the long-term. If your graphics card is running hot, you need to find a way to cool it off. The easiest way to do so is by cleaning out the dust. Dust that has built up over time will increase the temperature of the card and make it run much hotter than it needs to run.

The other most common sign of failing GPU is showing blue screen. When your computer starts displaying a blue screen it should mean that you need to check on your GPU, however, it can also occur for other reasons as well. Blue screens can be indicative of a problem with your computer's RAM, hard drive, graphics card, or any number of other components. If you are experiencing problems with the performance of your video game or movie playing, this could be an indication that a graphics card is on the way out. If you are experiencing a blue screen crash when watching a video and your graphics card died within the last six months, it is possible that there was trouble with the graphics card causing the system to crash. The video game or movie you were watching should still run fine even if your graphics card is going bad.
